Mrs. Betty F. Coleman

Lynchburg - Mrs. Betty F. Coleman, age 61, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Friendship Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will greet friends tonight (Friday) in the fellowship hall of the church from 6-8pm. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Kelly Altman and Corrie Mae Hickman Altman. Mrs. Coleman was a licensed Cosmetologist for 42 years, a former Examiner for State Board of Cosmetology, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Young Adults Sunday School Class. Preceded in death are two Nephews, Joey Altman and Andy Coleman. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ted Coleman of the home. A daughter, Jessica A. Coleman of Lynchburg. Two sisters, Belva (Tony) Evans of Lynchburg and Kellette (Myers) Roberson of Florence. A mother-in-law, Carolyn Coleman of Lynchburg.
