Mrs Connie Mae Evans Barfield

TURBEVILLE - Connie Mae Evans Barfield, age 79, widow of Durant “Coon” Barfield, died March 31, 2021, at her granddaughter’s residence after an extended illness. Born July 6, 1941, in Florence, she was the daughter of the late William Spy Evans and the late Margie Creola Poston Evans. She was retired from Waste Management Systems after having service as the Barrineau Site Manager for over 11 years. She is survived by four sons, Bobby Barfield (Amy) of Manning, Patrick Dwayne Barfield (Cindy) and James Evans (Valorie) both of MS, and Mike Barfield (Susan) of Columbia; four daughters, Brenda Hickman of Turbeville, Patricia Evans of North Charleston, Becky Tilton (Robert) of Manning, and Janice Barfield of Kingstree; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. A service will be held 10 AM Saturday, April 3, 2021, in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta with Rev. Becky Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 2, 2021, at the funeral home.
