She loved cooking, gardening, shopping, singing, her church and taking care of others. She was supportive and encouraging, wise and kind, and always sacrificed her needs for the good of the family. She will be remembered as a selfless, altruistic soul who always wore a smile, even when times were tough. She had a quiet strength, never complained and always looked to a better future. Her heart was filled with joy which could be seen on her face or heard in her voice through song or laughter. She was an active member of Friendship United Methodist Church until recent years when her health declined. The church was her happy place and she could be found singing in the choir, acting as Sunday School superintendent, coordinating Bible School, serving on the cemetery committee or worshiping.
