Mrs. Ella Scurry

Ella B. Scurry Lake City - Ella A. Scurry age 83, died March 27, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Thursday March 29, 2018 at New Town Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Cornelia Abrams. She attended New Town F.W. B. Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Ray Scurry, two sons, Larry Scurry and Terry Scurry, two brothers, and three sisters. Surviving are three daughters, Shirley (Dannie Ray) Welch of Turbeville, Bonnie (Billy) Yates of Lake City, and Janice (Jay Strickland) Dennis of Coward, one son, Jerry Scurry of Florence. 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
