BARRINEAU – Helen Marie Parker Floyd, 74, widow of Herbert Mitchell Floyd, died Friday, January 29, 2021, at her residence. Born February 6, 1946, in the Sandy Bay area of Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Hartwell Apell Parker and the late Martha Lucille Owens Parker. She was a member of the Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. She retired from Clarendon School District #3 as the lunchroom manager of Walker Gamble School. She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Green of Lake City and Summer Gaymon (Ken Hutchinson) of Cades; four grandchildren, Mitch Gaymon, Slate Green, Ida Green and Kohl Gaymon; one sister, Barbara Ann Matthews of Manning; two sister in laws, Charlene Parker and Gwen Parker both of Lake City; and her best friend, Betty Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Vernon Parker and Danny Boy Parker; and a sister, Gail Timmons. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. A funeral service will be held 4 P.M. on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Bobby Floyd and Rev. Chad Culick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ashby Springs, Logan Daniels, C. J. Driggers, Trent Floyd, Matthew Gray, and Dayton Culick. The family request anyone wanting to make a memorial gifts, please send your gift to Floyd Funeral Home, P.O. Box 67, Olanta, SC 29114. The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice for their love and care of Mrs. Helen during her illness.
