Mrs. Lillie Coker

Hanahan - Mrs. Lillie Floyd Coker age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in the early hours of October 21st, 2015. Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday, October 25th, 2015 at St. John United Methodist Church near Lake City, with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will greet friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. Born in South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Duncan Israel Floyd and Sarah Jane Driggers Floyd. Lillie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She adored all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. While healthy, she and Carroll enjoyed visiting all of their brothers and sisters in the Lake City area. It was their avocation. Later in life, Lillie tremendously enjoyed the company of her nephew and nieces who were all faithful to visit with her. She will be sorely missed by all of her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Carroll Gardner Coker. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Mark A. Coker (Terri) of Hanahan, S.C., and William Russell Coker (Sandra) of Florence. One brother, Kelly Floyd of Lake City. Five grandchildren, Drs. Jason Coker (Sarah), Dr. Phillip Coker (Barbra), Marsha Altman (Travis), Edward Coker (Chris), and Amanda Coker. Seven great-grandchildren. The family request that memorials be made to St. John United Methodist Church, 619 South Green Road, Lake City, S.C. 29560.
