FLORENCE – Linda Locklair Sawyer, 80, widow of Larry Keith Sawyer, died Monday, January 25, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House after a short non-Covid illness. Born September 16, 1940, in Sumter County, she was the daughter of the late Baron David Locklair, Sr. and the late Frances Atkinson Locklair. She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a retired Phlebotomist with McLeod Regional Medical Center. She is survived by two sons, Russell David Sawyer (Theresa) of Lynchburg and Keith Clinton Sawyer (Edie) of Florence; two daughters, Linda Carole Sawyer and Laura Sawyer Graham (Chad) both of Florence; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Baron David Locklair, Jr. (Ann) of Ellisville, MS and Jerry Lloyd Locklair, Sr. of Lynchburg; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister in law, Dona Locklair. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Tabernacle Cemetery, Lynchburg with Rev. Thomas Brown officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. The family request that memorials be made to Tabernacle Cemetery P.O. Box 87, Lynchburg, SC 29080. CDC guidelines for the Covid-19 virus and social distancing will be observed at the service. All attendees will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Floyd Funeral Home, 136 E.
