TURBEVILLE – Mary Linda Kennedy Wingard, 73, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House. Born April 22, 1948, in Florence, she was the daughter of Louise Moore Kennedy and the late Alva Raymond Kennedy, Sr. She was a member of the New Zion United Methodist Church, the UMW of the church and the Black River American Legion Auxiliary. She was a 1966 Graduate of East Clarendon High School and a graduate of Palmer College in Columbia. She retired as an insurance agent for East Clarendon Insurance Agency in Turbeville after many years of faithful service. She is survived by her mother; two sons, Ron Wingard (Melissa) of Turbeville, Kevin Wingard (Kendall) of Lake City; five grandchildren, Cody Randall Plummer, Savanna Lynn Wingard, George Walker Wingard, Jack “Heyward” Wingard, and James “Hampton” Wingard; a brother, Ray Kennedy, Jr. (Connie) of Georgetown; nephews Brian Kennedy (Sabre), Wade Kennedy (Paula) and Jim Kennedy (Juliann); many great nieces and nephews; and her special circle of friends. A graveside service will be held 10am, Monday, July 5, 2021, at New Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Goodwin and Rev. Jim Ridenhour officiating. The family will receive guests following the service on Monday and at other times at the home, 18395 Highway 301, Turbeville, SC.
