Lirle Virginia Lee Scranton Lirle Virginia Lee, age 96, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 surrounded by her family, at her home after an illness. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held immediately following the service. Born in Charleston County she was a daughter of the late Johnny Murrell and Ellen Brinson Murrell. She was a seamstress for Avondale, Sunday School Teacher in the Primary Class for over 60 years, wrapped all presents for the Shoe Box Ministry for Operation Christmas Child/Samaritans Purse, Vacation Bible School Teacher, loved gardening, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. D. Lee; five brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Diane Baxley of Scranton; a son, Johnny Earl Lee of Scranton; one sister, Throny Stramm of Charleston; four grandchildren, Tammie (Steve) Massie, Heather (Timmy) Matthews, Cynthia (Billy) Leach, Tabby (Jay) Cerceo; nine great-grandchildren, Kayla Medlen, Kimberlin Massie, John Matthews, Ashlee Matthews, Bryce Leach, David Leach, McKinlee Leach, James Cerceo, and Genevieve Cerceo.
