Mary D. Strickland Olanta Mary Driggers Strickland age 90, of Olanta, South Carolina, wife of the late J.K. Strickland went to be with Jesus on Saturday night, December 26, 2020 at her home with her family at her bedside. Services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 At Bethel Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Mrs. Strickland was born on March 31, 1930 in Florence County, and was the daughter of the late Ervin Driggers and Icebelle Welch Driggers. She dedicated her life providing for the needs of her family. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Louetta Strickland Sunday School Class, WMU, and 60 Plus. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Ted Strickland, and Randall Strickland; one step-grandson, Michael Welch; a sister, Kathleen Welch; one brother Junius Welch. She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Shorty) Prince of Olanta; a son, Ervin (Remona) Carroway of Olanta; two daughter-in-laws, Nancy Strickland of Scranton and Ennis Strickland of Reevesville, SC; 11 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; a sister , Marcelle Page of Turbeville.
