Myrlene Adkins Floyd Nesbitt Lynchburg Mrs. Myrlene Nesbitt, age 89, died Friday, December 02, 2011 at her residence after an illness. Services will be held at 4:00pm Monday, December 05, 2011 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church near Lynchburg, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm Sunday, December 04, 2011 at the funeral home. Mrs. Myrlene was born in Sumter County, wife of the late Whit F. Nesbitt, Sr., and daughter of the late Otis P. Floyd and Verlie Alena Weaver. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Adkins; a daughter, Donna AdkinsYost; a grand-daughter, Candace A. Gibbs; a sister, Margaret James; and two brothers, Frank Floyd and Harold Floyd; and a nephew Neil James. She is survived by three daughters, "Meechie" (Mike) Rankin, Linda (Johnny) Moore, Pam (Brent) Anders; one son "Bubba" Whit F. (Bertie) Nesbitt, Jr. all of Lynchburg; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four Great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Connie (Glen) Dennis.
