Myrlene Floyd Smith Lake City Mrs. Myrlene Floyd Smith age 73, died March 19. 2013 at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock pm Thursday March 21, 2013 at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late J. D. Floyd and Etta Beard Floyd. She was retired from Florence Dist. 3 Schools and was a licensed Cosmetologist, she was a member of Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church . She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robbie Lee Floyd and Delbert Floyd. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Harry D. Smith, of Lake City; Two daughters, Linda (Ronnie) Thigpen of Lake City, and Trena (Allen) Sims of Okeechobee, Fl.; A son, Russell (Sissy) Smith of Lake City; Four sisters, Leila Mims, Kathleen Frye, Mary Wheildon, and Martha McElveen all of Lake City; Four grandchildren, Kellie (Wade) McKenzie, Melissa (Jamie) Sullivan, Allison Sims, and Tilman Sims, four great-grandchildren, Cullen McKenzie, Caylen McKenzie, Kenley Sullivan, and Charlee Sullivan.
