Nancy Leah Mcelveen

Nancy Leah McElveen Lake City Mrs. Nancy L. McElveen, age 88, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her home after an illness. A graveside service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the Olanta Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Mack Wilkes and Ada Lee Wilkes. Mrs. McElveen was a retired seamstress and was a member of the Olanta Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mack McElveen. A son, Delano McElveen. Five brothers, Clinton Wilkes, Evans Wilkes, Aaron Wilkes, Hilary Wilkes, and Duffie Wilkes. Surviving are three daughters, Betty (Houston) McKenzie and Rosa (Roger) Coffey both of Lake City, Ada (Donald) Shover of Lillington, N.C.. One son, Melvin (Eula Mae) McElveen of Olanta. One sister, Mamie Fleck of Smithville, Texas. Seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
