Nell Baird

Nell Baird Turbeville Mrs. Nell Baird age 55, died March 25, 2011 at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock pm Tuesday March 29, 2011 at New Zion United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie King Floyd and Cordie Porter Floyd. She was a member of New Zion United Methodist Church. Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by an infant sister, Betty Jean Floyd. Surviving are her husband, Ivey Baird of Turbeville. Five children; Ivey (Teri) Baird of Summerville, Ruffin (Sandy) Baird of New Zion, Denise (John) Thomas of Goose Creek, Shawn (Lana) Baird and Jason (Deanna) Baird both of Turbeville. Siblings, Laura Kirby of Sumter, Novice Floyd of Hartsville, J. C. (Sandra) Floyd of Manning, Murray (Sharon) Floyd of Turbeville, and Rudy Floyd of New Zion. Grandchildren; Savannah Baird, Lindsey Baird, Maggie Baird, Stephen Ardis, Garret Ardis, Noah Thomas, Peyton Thomas, Gabe Baird, Rivers, Baird, Remington Baird and Tyler Baird. She was a "Nanny" to a host of children in the community. Memorials may be made to New Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
