Nina Nesbitt McElveen Lynchburg Mrs. Nina Nesbitt McElveen, age 90, died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at her residence after an illness. A funeral service will be held 4 pm Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with burial in Tabernacle Cemetery in Lynchburg, directed by FLOYD FUNERAL HOME, INC. of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm tonight (Saturday) August 28, 2010 at the funeral home. Born in Lee County, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin Nesbitt and Mary Elizabeth Jackson Nesbitt. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. McElveen was preceded in death by her husband; Walter "Tig" McElveen. A daughter; Brenda DeWitt. A sister; Ruby Lofton. Four brothers; Whit F. Nesbitt, Carlisle Nesbitt, Francis Nesbitt and W.T. Nesbitt. Surviving are a daughter; Catherine Elaine McElveen of Lynchburg. Two granddaughters; Lisa (Lavone) Watford of Florence and Tara (Adam) Truesdale of Aiken. Two great grandchildren; Ashley Truesdale and Celeste Truesdale both of Aiken. Two sisters; Elberta (J.N.) Wilson and Naomi Watford both of Camden. Many Nieces and Nephews.
