OLANTA - Nina "Mrs Bill" Milton Pierce Moore Vause, age 96, of Olanta, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family.. Born on December 11, 1928, in Florence County, South Carolina a daughter of the late Erbie Baxter Pierce and the late Lovie Lorene Vause Pierce. "Mrs. Bill" was a beloved homemaker and cherished member of her church and community. Mrs. "Bills" life was a testament to her deep faith and dedication to her family. She found joy in her role as a homemaker, nurturing not only her immediate family but also the extended network of relatives and friends who were blessed to know her. Her loving spirit and unwavering commitment to her loved ones left an indelible mark. Nina was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husbands, J. P. Moore and George C. Vause; her two sisters, Margie Lee and Dorothy Haselton; and her three brothers, Billy Pierce, James Allard Pierce, and Edward Pierce. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her four daughters, Patricia M. Spring of Timmonsville, Linda M. Welsh of Olanta, Diane M. Carpenter of Timmonsville, and Frankie (Greg) M. Deas of Kershaw; her eight grandchildren, Pamela McCaskill, Jill (Stephen) S. Lynch, Glen Vause, Karen (Tommy) Northern, Shannon Collier, Doug (Anne) Welsh, David (Tiffany) Welsh, and Chris (Melissa) Welsh; 22 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Mrs. Bill" was an active member of the Olanta Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class. It was there that she cultivated many lasting friendships and touched countless lives with her kindness, strong faith and caring nature which will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A funeral service to honor "Mrs. Bill's" life will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home with Rev. Myers Graham and Rev. Burton Welsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery of Timmonsville. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the funeral home. Pallbearers honoring "Mrs. Bill" with their service include David Welsh, Doug Welsh, Chris Welsh, Piercen Lynch, Glen Vause, and Ryan Carr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Olanta Baptist Church, P.O. Box 188, Olanta, SC 29114 in "Mrs. Bill's" memory. "Mrs. Bill's" family extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support and love during this difficult time. Her unwavering spirit and devotion to family and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and warmth will endure in our hearts forever.
