McKenzie age 94, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at a Florence hospital after an illness. A service will be held at 3 pm, Friday, April 20, 2012 at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church near Lake City directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the funeral home. Born in Florence County she was a daughter of the late James E. Floyd and Mary Sue Coker Floyd. She was a store owner, was in the last class at Central Community School, graduated from Olanta High School ,and was a member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her spouse, William Archie McKenzie; a son, David G. McKenzie; a grand-daughter, Melissa D. McKenzie; two brothers and eight sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Bobbie M. (James) Goude of Lake City, Kay M. (Dave) Blue of Charlotte, NC; three sons, Rev. James W. (Violet) McKenzie, Larry (Dale) McKenzie, Tony (Pam) McKenzie all of Lake City; one sister, Mary Lee Chandler of Alcolu, eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
