Olive Baird Floyd New Zion Mrs. Olive Baird Floyd, age 94, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, November 14th, 2012 at New Zion United Methodist Church with burial in church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends tonight (Tuesday) from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Aaron Garland Baird and Tiny Rebecca Coker Baird. Mrs. Floyd was a member of New Zion United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Beasley Gibbons; her second husband, Randelson Floyd and her daughter, Betty J. Amerson. Three sisters, Pauline B. Green, Allie B. Corbett and Sudie B. DuBose. Six brothers, Howard Baird, Redden H. Baird, Lonnie Baird, Pete Baird, Dannie J. Baird, and Wright O. Baird. Surviving are a step-daughter, Barbara Harrington of New Zion. One grandson, Joe Amerson. Two great grandchildren, Hunter Amerson and Chloe Amerson. Many nieces and nephews.
