Padgett Robert McKenzie Lake City - Padgett R. McKenzie age 79, died December 15, 2018 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel in Olanta with burial at 3 PM in Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington, S.C., the family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday at Floyd Funeral Home. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Rev. F. B. (Fitchue) McKenzie and Mary Eunice McKenzie. He was a medical transcriptionist at Columbia area hospitals for many years, and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Florence. Surviving are his wife Emily Williams McKenzie of Lake City; a daughter; Melanie (Chad) Brewer of Orange Park, Fl.; a son, Heyward (Sherri) McKenzie of Fort Walton Beach, Fl.; three sisters, Varnette (Joseph) Mixon of Sumter, Dorothy Jean (Carl) Daniels of Dillon, and Brenda (Robert) Lee of Lake City; a brother, J. C. (Margie) McKenzie of Lake City; two grandchildren, Cody Brewer and Cassidy Brewer of Jacksonville, Fl.
