Patricia Woody Threet

April 28, 1935 — July 13, 2022

Patricia Anne Woody Threet, 87, peacefully entered Heaven’s gates Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Southland Healthcare Facility. Patricia was born on April 28th, 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Robert Elgin Wood and Marguerite Bryson Woody. Patricia was a graduate of Jackson High School in Jackson, TN, and attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, TN, where she met the love of her life. She devotedly served the Church of Christ beside her late husband, Brother William “Bill” Threet for 65 years. Patricia was impactful as she traveled with her husband and children to answer God’s call. She was the former “Valentine Queen'' of Southland Healthcare Facility. Surviving are her children, Gene (Mary Rose) Threet of Dalton, GA; Marguerite “Anne” Filyaw of Cades, SC; granddaughter Eliska (Daniel) Manny of Dallas, GA; grandson Jeffeory (Katie) Threet of Dacula, GA; grandson Johnny Surgeon of Tampa Florida, granddaughters Kaycee (Brent) Bennett and Adrianna (Collin) Lee, both of Lake City, SC; great grandchildren Grooms Bennett, Kayden Carter, Lily Jane Bennett, Brody Threet, Lillie Cooper Bennett, Bryce Threet, Marley Bennett, Dalton Rose Manny, Grayson Manny, and Lewison Lee, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her sister, Nina Janice Woody Davenport; stepmother, Georgia Wright Page Woody; daughter, Cynthia Threet Surgeon; and two son-in-laws George Sheldon Filyaw and John Franklin Surgeon III. Patricia was lovingly adorned with the title “Pat Pat” to not only her grandchildren, but to any who knew and loved her. She was the epitome of dedication to her husband, family, church, and most of all, Savior. Patricia was the definition of strength, wit, grace, and sacrifice, as well as the picture of glamor and class. “Pat Pat” enjoyed God’s beauty in the world around her through the smiles of children in her Sunday School class, the laughter of her grandchildren, the company of pets, the satisfaction of friendship, and the joy of making her famous boiled custard for her children. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Southland Healthcare Facility for their dedication, unconditional love, and superb care over the last four years. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to ASPCA Tributes, 520 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018; or to Southland Healthcare Facility, 722 S. Dargan Street, Florence, SC 29506.
