Paul M. Thomas Turbeville Paul Monroe Thomas age 91, passed away peacefully January 31, 2019 at his home after an illness. Services will be held at 4 PM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church, and other times at his home, 1026 Oak Lane, Turbeville, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Burial will be at Olive Grove FWB Church Cemetery in Turbeville. Born in Florence County he was a son of the late Clark W. Thomas and Lottie Carter Thomas. Mr. Paul was a retired electrician, was a Member of The United States Maritime Service, a Mason for 50 years, and attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Etheleen A. Thomas; one sister, Muryl Lane; three brothers, Charles Thomas, James Thomas, and Earl Thomas. He is survived by his second wife, Sylvia Jean Atkinson Thomas of the home; five sons, George (Sherry) Thomas of Waynesville, NC, Sam (Mary Margaret) Thomas of Chapin, Stevie (Nina) Barrineau, Kerry (Deborah) Barrineau, Thom (Kelli) Barrineau all of Lake City;two sisters, Ina Mae Minter of Columbia and Eva Mae Floyd of Florence; one brother, David (Linda) Thomas of Lexington; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
