Paul David Ward Scranton Mr. Paul David Ward, age 52, died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at his home after an illness. Funeral services will be 2pm, Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Grace Free Will Baptist Church in Lake City, directed by FLOYD FUNERAL HOME of Olanta. Visitation will be from 6-8pm tonight (Saturday) at the funeral home. Born in Florence county, he was a son of the late Ernest Eugene Ward and Louise Jones Ward. Mr. Ward was a former meat cutter, employed with Pepsi Cola as a Supervisor for 24 years, a former Lieutenant serving as a firefighter with Scranton Fire Department, a Reserve Officer with Scranton Police Department, Mason and member of Lebanon Lodge #48 of Scranton and member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church. He loved to play golf, fishing, deer hunting, and baseball, he was a former umpire. He always strived to help people and encouraged them to be their best. Surviving are his wife; Raylene Ward of the home. A daughter; Shanna (Tony) Borrillo of Coward. A son; Jeremy (Ashley) Ward of Coward. Three sisters; Jean Thompson of Hemingway, Ellen (David) Tomlinson of Lake City and Sandra (Harold) Barfield of Scranton. A brother; Wayne (Deborah) Ward of Alcolu.
