Raymond Walker Coker, Sr.

Lynchburg – Raymond Walker Coker, Sr. 75, died, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born November 5, 1947 in Manning, he was a son of the late Rudolph Walker Coker and the late Ollie Nettles Coker. He was a machine operator with Santee Print Company. He is survived by one son, Raymond W. Coker, Jr. (Allison) of Lynchburg; two daughters, Teresa Coker Baker (Charles Lee) of Sumter, Linda Gale Coker (Stanley Barkley) of Paxville; twelve grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; one brother, Alton Coker of New Zion; three sisters, Betty Geddings (Ned) of Turbeville, Eleanor Boardwine of New Zion, Tammy Coker of New Zion; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Allen Thomas Coker, Ronald Marion Coker, and Alpha Lemuel Coker. A funeral service will be held 2pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home, with burial in the Gibbons Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kodey Bramlett, Mikey Gainey, Kalep Coker, Eddie Coker, Caleb Burnish, and Brady Lamb. A visitation will be held at 1pm, prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at 11865 Lynches River Road, Lynchburg, SC.
