Raymond Earl Stone

OLANTA - Raymond Earl Stone, 69, husband of Deborah P. Stone, entered his eternal rest on November 1, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born November 16, 1952, in Florence County, SC, he was the son of the late Raymond Stone and the late Julia Powers DuBose. He attended New Hope Christian Church. He was co-owner of Olanta Floor Coverings; was a former Fire Chief with the Olanta Fire Department; served the community as an EMT; and drove the ambulance. He is survived by his wife of 30 years; one daughter, Rachel Stone of Olanta; two sisters, Ginger (Brian) Ard and Susanne (O’Neal) Thigpen of Olanta; one brother, Ryan (Anna) DuBose of Olanta; a special sister-in-law, Linda Phillips of New Zion; a special nephew, Jamie Phillips of New Zion; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Bonnie DuBose and his late wife, Ellen Harrelson Stone. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at New Hope Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Goodwin and Rev. Chad Culick officiating.
