Rev. James Allard Pierce

Timmonsville Reverend James A. Pierce, age 92 of Timmonsville, died March 13, 2019, at home after an illness. Services will be held at 2 o'clock PM Friday, March 15, 2019, at Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, Timmonsville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Reverend Pierce was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Erbie Baxter Pierce and Lovie Vause Pierce. He served in the United States Army in occupational forces in Japan towards the end of the war. He was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church in Timmonsville. He retired from the ministry after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Jimmy K. Pierce. Surviving are his wife, Annie R. Bullard Pierce of Timmonsville; one daughter, Vickie C. (Larry) Davis of Timmonsville, SC; one son Jerry W. (Judy) Pierce of Timmonsville, SC; a sister, Milton Moore Vause of Olanta, SC; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
