Reverend Lenard DuRant Driggers, age 86, formerly of the Barrineau community passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at his daughters home in Chesapeake, Virginia after an illness. A funeral service will be 2pm Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Pine Dale Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to service. Born in Clarendon county, he was a son of the late Wayne Driggers and Marie McKenzie Driggers. He was a graduate of Emmanuel College and was a retired Pentecostal Holiness Minister. Surviving are his wife Pearline Joye Driggers of Rockingham, N.C. A daughter, Lynn Jones of Chesapeake, Virginia. Two sisters, Sadie Rollins of Greenville and Edith Coker of Manning. Two grandchildren, one great grandchild.
