Rev. Carl Edward Miles Coward Reverend Carl Edward Miles, age 73, died Thursday, July 28, 2011 at a Columbia hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 4pm, Sunday, July 31st, 2011 at the Free Will Baptist of Pentecostal Faith Campground with burial in Hicks Hill Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be 5pm today (Saturday) at the Free Will Baptist of Pentecostal Faith Campground, 3868 Puddin Swamp Road in Turbeville, S.C. 29162. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Otto Miles and Mary Marie Floyd Miles. He was a Pastor of several churches, including Greeleyville, Free Worship, Toddville, Mt. Hebron, Pine Hill, Calvary, and Grace Free Will Baptist Churches. He is preceded in death by a son, Steve Allen Miles. A grandson, Lee Edward Miles. A sister, Olda Mae Miles. Two brothers, Levern Miles and Bruce Miles. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Miles of the home. Two daughters, Bertie Mae Carraway of Coward and Marie (Rev. Al) Kissiah of Simpsonville, S.C.. Four sons, James (Cynthia) Miles of Pamplico, Gary (Janet) Miles, Billy Joe Miles, and Robert Miles all of Coward. One sister, Bealuh Mae (Rev. Dexter) Matthews of Scranton. One brother, William Miles of Lake City. Eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
