Olanta- Mr. Robert Waldren Horsey age 76, husband of Lorie Miles Horsey, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born November 12, 1947, in New York he was the son of the late Fredrick & Dorothy Horsey. He was a dairy farmer who loved his profession. He was a high school graduate and attended The University of Connecticut earning three degrees, Agriculture Science, Psychology, and Arborist, and attended Cope Baptist Church in Cope, SC. He is survived by his wife; six sons; Eric (Kathy) Horsey of Cope, SC, Matthew (Lourie) Drake of Batesburg-Leesville, Dwaine (Janna) Floyd of Pawleys Is., Matthew (Tina) Floyd, Mark (Magen) Floyd, Joey (Gretchen) Floyd all of Olanta; one sister, Lynne H. Wiles of Summerton; Nephew, Tommy (Sharon) Horsey of Lake City; one niece, Bernadene Giles; a host of grandchildren; and many, many, much loved great-grandchildren; and trusted friend, Phillip Miles. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Chris Cannon; an uncle and aunt, John & Joan; and PaPa & Granny.
