LAKE CITY – Robert “Greg” Moore, 71, husband of Ginger Burroughs Moore, entered his eternal rest on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at MUSC Health in Florence. Born July 3, 1951, in Lake City, S.C., he was a son of the late Robert Lewis Moore and the late Dorothy Baker Moore. He was a member of Lake City Presbyterian Church and was enjoying his retirement from commercial construction. He was a co-owner of G&M Builders for more than 30 years. Greg was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. He instilled his love of the outdoors and the water in his son and beloved grandchildren, who called him Baba. He is survived by his wife; one son, Robert Clyde Moore (Cassidy) of Myrtle Beach; five grandchildren, Emma Tristen Moore, Max Strader, Stevens Moore, Carly Moore, and Layne Strader; two brothers, Stanly Moore (Jane) of Turbeville and Doug Moore (Deborah) of Lake City; a number of nieces and nephews; and countless friends and fishing buddies. He was preceded in death by his parents and his favorite dog and companion, Black Jack. A visitation will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Floyd Funeral Home in Olanta. A graveside service will follow at 4:15 p.m. in Olanta Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. James Donald McManus officiating.
