Robert Melvin Wilson

LYNCHBURG – Robert Melvin “Buddy” Wilson, 75, husband of Margaret “Tency” Wilson, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at his residence after an illness. Born August 20, 1947, in Florence County he was the son of the late James Wilson and the late Dorothy McGee Wilson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from the Brush Control Industry. He is survived by his wife of 38 years; five sons, Jerry Wilson of Sumter, Glenn Wilson (Ashley) and Robbie Wilson (Crystal) all of Scranton, Michael Wilson of Coward, and Alan Marlow (Trish) of Mt. Croghan; two daughters, Colea Coker (Allen) and Leslie Sauls (Mickey) all of Scranton; one special daughter Kathi Vu (Timmy Matthews) of Olanta; one special son, Renayda (Ruby) Rivers of Baltimore; twenty four grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; two special nieces, Renee Shuler and Amber Coker Bramlett; and two special nephews, Kaleb Coker and Phillip Parrot. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Nadine Pigate. A memorial service with military honors will be held 2pm on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 1732 W.
