Roy Welsh age 50, passed away September 20, 2014 after an illness. A funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at The First Baptist Church of Turbeville with burial in the church cemetery on Hwy 301 South, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held Monday at the home of Willodene and Bernard Blackmon "The Dog House" 17944 Highway 301 in Turbeville beginning at 5pm. Born in Florence County he was the son of Mary Rogers Welsh and the late James Douglas Welsh, Sr. He was owner & operator of Slocam Builders, he loved his family, race cars, baseball, softball and his beloved "Bella". He was a member of Turbeville First Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother of Olanta, wife Helen Powell Welsh of Turbeville; one daughter Sloane Welsh of Turbeville; one son, Cam Welsh of Turbeville; special sister, Susan Anderson; special brother Mike Anderson of Turbeville; special Mother, Annelle Powell (Special father Jimmy Powell); nieces, Mikayla Anderson, Britni Anderson; special nephew Jimmy Anderson and Lee Welsh; and a host of other nieces and nephews. one sister, Claire Traynham of Beaufort, SC; two brothers, David B. (Suzette)Welsh of Timmonsville, John P.
