Ruth Ard Carmon

Timmonsville Mrs. Ruth Ard Carmon, age 86, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Carolinas Hospital Systems in Florence after an illness. A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel of Olanta with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Florence. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service at the funeral home. Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse James Ard and Mattie Marie Horton Ard. Mrs. Carmon was a Homemaker and attended Florence Baptist Temple. She is preceded in death by her husband Julian "J.P." Carmon. A sister, Mae Ard Maker. Two brothers, Johnny Ard and Ernest Ard. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Diane Carmon and Evelyn Marie Carmon both of Timmonsville. A son, Ronnie P. Carmon of Timmonsville.
