Sandra Kay Quick

Sandra Kay Kinard Quick, 64, died Friday, May 20, 2022, at Lake City Community Hospital. Born July 21, 1957, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late George Daniel Kinard and the late Margie Bell Hiott Kinard. In her early years she always offered a helping hand to folks by taking them in, especially teenagers, providing shelter and food as well as love and care. She enjoyed dancing and fishing. She is survived by her long term companion, Robert Allen Floyd, three sons, Wayne Fox-Mixon (Curtis) and George Ray (Amanda) both of Scranton and Chris Ray (Carla) of Wisconsin; one daughter, Sandy Neel (Doug) of Scranton; two step-sons, Danny Floyd And Chris Floyd both of Scranton; grandchildren, Sinclair Smith, Lisa Marie Floyd, Emmett Floyd, Alaina Ray, Olivia Ray, Malea Neel, Byron Neel, Angel Leviner, Lily Floyd, David Floyd, Mary Alice Floyd, Willow Pope, Harley Floyd, and Emma Floyd.; great grandchildren, Dalton Smith, Adrianna Floyd, Annleigh Matthews, “E.J.” Floyd IV, Faithlyn Floyd, and Everett Floyd,; two brothers, Harry Kinard (Ginger) and Tommy Kinard (Emily); three sisters, Anna Barwick (Joe), Carolyn Mixon (Danny), and Irene Disher; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kinard and Janice Kinard; extended family, Ashley Floyd, Rita Brown, Joey Bryant, Kim Avant, Randy Avant, Stephanie McGee, Bubba Worell, Keeley McGee, Tink McGee, and Janice Neel; a life long friend, Cynthia Lynch-Rhodus; and lots of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, George “Hank” Henry Ray; great granddaughter, Natalie Smith; three brothers, Nelson Kinard, Ricky Kinard, and George Kinard; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Kinard. A funeral service will be held 5pm on Sunday, May 22, 2022, in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home with Rev. Wayland Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Matthews Cemetery on Sunset Lane in Coward. Pallbearers will be George Ray, Alan McElveen, Alvin Martindell, Sinclair Smith, James Wright, Chris Floyd, and Danny Mixon. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. The family would like to express their love and appreciation to the staff of “Caregivers Always Caring of Florence, SC” for their dedication, love, and care of Mrs. Sandra.
