Stella Coker Young Lake City Mrs. Stella Coker Young, age 85, died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Lake City Community Hospital after an illness. A funeral service will be held at 3pm Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Town Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Neal Coker and Linnie Yarborough Coker. Mrs. Young was a housewife and a member of The Olanta Free Will Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Ronald Allen Young. A brother, Garris Coker. A sister, Vendella C. Young. Surviving are her husband, Lauren Murrell Young of Lake City. Five daughters, Margaret Young (Charles) Lynch, Harriett Young both of Lake City, Myra Young (Glenn) Hewett of Wilmington, N. C., Reba Young Owens of Lake City, and Connie Young (Larry) Haselden of Florence. Two sons, Robert A. (Roxanna) Young of Summerton, Fred (Cindy) Young of Townville. Two sisters, Mona Caraway of Coward and Belma Goude of Georgetown. Two brothers, David (Jho) Coker of Lake City and Delbert (Evelyn) Coker of Georgetown. Twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. The family would like to especially thank Agape Hospice for all the care they provided.
