TURBEVILLE – Thelma Driggers Knotts, 85, wife of Walter Knotts, entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born, February 13, 1938, in, she was a daughter of the late William H Driggers and the late Betty Coker Driggers. She was a waitress and retired from the Turbeville IGA, and attended Friersons Tabernacle Church. She is survived by her husband of 47 years; one son Wayne (Patricia) Cook of Sharon, SC: two daughters, Christel Coker (Elliott) Mims of Scranton, Tabitha Nicole (John Larry) Pigate of Turbeville; grandchildren, Jessica Kathleen Cook, Emily Marie Cook, Walter Ryan Coker, Tyler Lewis Pigate, Taylor Pigate, Kim Tucker, Rodney Strickland, Marie Yarborough, and Nikki Tucker; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sammie Driggers and Bobby (Brenda) Driggers all of Turbeville. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William Albert Cook; two daughters, Wanda Faye Cook, and Judith Dale Watford; six brothers, Douglas Driggers, Eugene Driggers, Ellie Driggers, Lindburgh Driggers, Harry Lane Driggers, and DeLeon Driggers; six sisters, Elise Welch, Rebecca Simeral, Mildred DuBose, Gaynelle Matthews, Anna Bryant Osborne, and Ila Mae Welch. A funeral service will be held at 2PM Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home in Olanta, with Reverend Mike Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
