Thelma Inez Welch

Turbeville – Thelma Inez Floyd Welch, age 83, widow of Sidney Welch, entered into her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, September 14th ,2022 at McLeod Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born March 22, 1939 in Clarendon County. She was the daughter of the late Moscoe Floyd and the late Annie Floyd. She was a seamstress, farmhand and factory worker. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and sister. She is survived by two sons; Lavon Welch (Mary Ann) of Turbeville, Jerry Welch (Robin) of Darlington,; two daughters, Stella Thompson (Jerry) of Turbeville, Bonnie Lee (Wylie) of Olanta; one sister Judy McKay (Glenn) of Timmonsville; one brother, Edward Floyd (Charlene) of Coward; 11 Grandchildren; 30 Great-grandchildren;3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; one son, Johnny Welch; one granddaughter, Jessica Kirby; three brothers, James Floyd, Myers Floyd, Randolph Floyd; two sisters Marice Baird, and Faye Powell. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock, Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Chapel of Floyd Funeral Home with the Reverend Terrell Prosser, officiating. Burial will be at Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery on Hwy 378. Visitation will be one hour, prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Adam Welch, Michael Welch, O’Neal Leviner, Brent Welch, Jerry Welch, Thomas Lee, Jimmy Lee. Floyd Funeral Home, 136 E.
