Thomas 'Tom' Larry Floyd Born in New Zion, Tom Floyd lived his entire life in a community that he loved, which also loved him. He was a son of the late S. Bethea Floyd and Sybil Hardy Floyd. He attended Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years, and most recently, New Zion United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Salem Schools, Inc. where he was an outstanding athlete and where he later coached Boys Basketball. Having been born into a farming family, Tom, and his brother Ronnie, were guided and taught by their beloved Daddy, operating S. Bethea Floyd and Sons Farms for many years. In 1995, he joined James C. Justice Companies as Chief Operations Officer over agricultural operations. Tom managed all Justice Farms in South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia and Kentucky, usually while doing what he loved best - operating a combine or tractor and conducting business with a phone to his ear. Tom was also instrumental in the establishment of the New Zion 4th of July Celebration, which has become a much anticipated annual tradition, for which he could express his patriotism and love of country. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, "Coke" Coco McFaddin Floyd and daughter, Nancy Caroline McFaddin Floyd, of New Zion, whom he adored beyond measure and to whom he lovingly referred as his "Hoss"; his brother and best friend, Ronnie D.
