Thomas DuBose Ham New Zion - Thomas "Tommy" DuBose Ham, age 72, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his residence after an illness. A service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Olanta Baptist Church with burial at St. James Cemetery of New Zion, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Tonight (Saturday, November 30, 2013) at the funeral home. Born in Clarendon County he was a son of the late Olin Ham and Leona DuBose Ham. He was a retired farmer and electrician, a member of Fidelity Masonic Lodge # 394 (Past Master), The Gideons of Lake City, past Deacon of the Olanta Baptist Church, church groundskeeper, cooks for Christ Volunteer, a very active member and served on many committees at Olanta Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by a son Roy Ham; a granddaughter, Anna Marie Baird; a brother, Johnny Ham. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marie Blackmon Ham of New Zion; two daughters, Susie Ham (Tony) Alexander of Turbeville, Sandy Ham (Ruffin) Baird of New Zion; one son Todd (Melissa) Ham of Olanta; two sisters, Sylvia (Frankie) Rhodes of Sumter, Linda (David) Richburg of Manning; two brothers, Jimmy (Iva Jane) Ham of Manning, Allen (Beth) Ham of Florence; a sister in-law, Jackie Miles of Coward; six grandchildren, Lindsey Baird (Phillip) Coker, Kaitlin Alexander, Maggie Baird, Avery Ham, Emily Alexander and Riley Ham; and a number of nieces and nephews.
