Thomas Alfred Robinson

Thomas Alfred Robinson, 82, husband of Linda Elizabeth Floyd Robinson went onto his eternal home on Monday, February 7, 2022. He was surrounded, in his home on Puddin' Swamp, by his family when heaven welcomed him home. Thomas was born on August 8, 1939, in Clarendon County, the son of the late Alfred Ira and Corine Ethel Watts Robinson. He was a 1958 graduate of East Clarendon High School. Thomas was a life-long member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee for many years. Thomas worked for 50 plus years as a carpenter with Coker Builders and MB Kahn. Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting, planting his garden, and never missed a fish fry. Thomas is survived by his wife of 58 years; one son, Tommy (Joy) Robinson of Turbeville; two daughters, Lynn (Ken) Mahoney of Manning and Brandi (Kris) Floyd of Barrineau; his 4-legged friend little LuLu; four loving grandchildren, Kayla Robinson, Landrey (Zac) Arnold, Evie Floyd, & KJ Floyd; one great granddaughter, Brelyn Stokes; one brother, Arthur (Bernice) Robinson of Turbeville; and numerous other family members that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and three very special friends: Phillip Coker, Ed Green, and Ray Morris. A funeral service will be held 11 A.M. on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Theron Scott, Rev. Bobby Floyd and Rev. Myers Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 P.M. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Floyd Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Pallbearers will be Robbie Robinson, Nelson Hill, Kevin Mason, Charlton Watts, Darren Robinson, and W.J. Coker. The family request that memorials be made to the missionary work of Neil and Mandy Morgan. Donations can be sent to Horse Branch FWB Church earmarked to Neil & Mandy Morgan Mission Fund, 1097 Horse Branch Road, Turbeville, SC 29162. CDC guidelines for the COVID-19 virus will be observed during the service. All attendees are encouraged to practice social distancing and the wearing of a mask.
