Valerie Driggers Yates

Valerie Driggers Yates, 84, of Olanta, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Commander Nursing Home. Valerie was born in Florence County to the late James and Roberta Driggers. She was a member of Olanta Baptist Church and was an avid Quilter. She was a loving mother and grandmother who liked to read in years past. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gerald Yates; 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her daughter, Naomi Yates Dantignac (Harriss) of Myrtle Beach; sons, Houston Yates (Marie) of Coward and Tony Yates of Olanta; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Services are private. Remembrances may be made to Olanta Baptist Church.
