Vyrle D. Jordan

Olanta - Mr. Vyrle D. Jordan, age 92, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Nazareth United Methodist Church with burial in Thomas Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service at the church. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Henry Bernard Jordan and Lois DeFee Jordan. He was a retired Farmer, Tobacco warehouseman; a Veteran of WWII in the Air Force where he served as a Flight Officer, a Mason, and member of Beualah Lodge #259, and was a member of Nazareth United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Carraway Jordan; and a sister, Floride Jordan. Surviving are three sons, Davis (Meade) Jordan of Florence, Bernie (Diane) Jordan of Lynchburg, and Monk (Eleanor) Jordan of Olanta; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
