Wilbur Clayton Bingham Sr.

Lexington Wilbur "Clayton" Bingham, Sr. age 84 died June 30, 2019 at his home after an illness. A service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel in Olanta. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Born in Clarendon County he was a son of the late Gulley Alan Bingham and Elouise Barrineau Bingham-Frierson. He was retired from the construction industry. He served one term as Mayor of Turbeville. He attended Ashland Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shelby Buddin Bingham. He is survived by one daughter, Deidi Bingham of Lexington; one son, Clay Bingham of Lexington; three grandchildren, Stephanie White, Wilbur Clayton "CJ" Bingham III, and Matthew Bingham; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ann Frierson Quattrone of Lexington; and one brother, William Harold Bingham of Cayce.
