LAKE CITY – Willahmenia Bryant Stone, 85, widow of Laverne C. Stone, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 26, 2022 at her residence. Born November 10, 1936, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Blease Bryant and the late Lizzie Parker Bryant. She attended McKenzie Tabernacle Church and was a homemaker. “Nenia” was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister – their didn’t come any better than “Nenia”. She was a caring individual who lived to help others. She is survived by her three grandchildren, Bryant Stone, Nate Stone (Beth), and Elizabeth Stone; two great grandchildren, Huntley Stone and Alex Stone; three brothers, Herman Bryant, Lavelle Bryant (Juanita) and Thurmond “Pop” Bryant (Delene); three sisters, Mary Ann Coker, Vermelle Green (Rusty), and Della Morris (Roger), A daughter in law, Tammy Stone; Huntley’s mother, Amanda Ard; Sister-in-law and Caregiver, Pamela L. Bryant; a niece and caregiver, Kimberly Bryant Livingston; a special nephew, Brody Bryant; and a number of other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Wayne Stone and Terry Stone; one brothers, Wilbur Bryant; and one sister, Chris Benton; and a nephew, Todd Bryant. A graveside funeral service will be held 5pm on Saturday, August, 27, 2022 at Frye Cemetery (1200 New Zion Road, Lake City, SC) with Rev. Pat Goodwin and Myers Graham officiating. Pallbearers will be Chad Bryant, Jamie Coker, Brody Bryant, Cody Livingston, Nate Stone and Bryant Stone. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Tonya Smith and Dee Stegall for the love and care they provided during “Nenia’s” final days.
