William Leonard Allen

Turbeville William Leonard Allen, age 53, died March 10th, 2019 after a brief illness. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Turbeville. Born in Maricopa County, AZ, he was the son of James L. Allen of Turbeville, SC and Marcie L. Berg of Beacon Falls, CT. William was a disabled carpet installer. He was very active in AA through the Escondido Alano Club and helping recovering alcoholics and was proud to have been sober himself for 25 years. Mr. Allen attended Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Margaret Allen, and his maternal grandparents William and Martha Berg. He is survived by his sister, Sherri Gaito of Turbeville, SC; and his brother Kevin (Tanya) Allen of Darlington, SC, who he loved to toss off of the end of the pier.
