New Zion - William Dexter Culick age 62, died January 26, 2018 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock PM Monday January 29, 2018 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel in Olanta with burial in Pine Dale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 PM Sunday January 28, 2018 at Floyd Funeral Home. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Carson "Sonny P." Culick, Sr. and Bannie McGee Culick. He was a former employee of Sunbeam Bakery in Lake City, where he managed a delivery route and was a former supervisor, he was also the former owner of New Zion Tire Center. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Johnny Ray Culick, Carson Culick, Jr., and Durant Culick, two brothers-in-law, Jack Marvin Lee and Ernie Floyd. Surviving are his wife Marilyn Floyd Culick of New Zion, a daughter, Greta Culick (Dustin) Welch of New Zion, two sons, Chad (Danielle) Culick of Lake City, and Will (Amy) Culick of New Zion, four sisters, Adell Lee of Goose Creek, Elizabeth (Donnie) McKenzie of Kingstree, Virginia Floyd of Cades, and Wanda (Dale) Thigpen of Lake City, six grandchildren, and a special friend Glen Barron.
