SCRANTON – William Ollie Dennis, Jr, 72, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his residence. Born April 4, 1952, in Florence County, SC he was a son of the late William Ollie Dennis and the late Eula Mae Player Dennis. He was a retired carpenter in the construction industry. He is survived by one son, Wesley Dennis of Olanta, SC; one daughter, Donna Bryan of Ridge Spring, SC; five grandchildren, Wesley (Brooke) Dennis, Jr., Karlee Dennis, Dillon Miller, Dakota Bryant, and Daulton Bryant; one great-grandchild, Daniel Wesley Dennis III; two step-daughters, Gena Bearden and April Wallace; two brothers, Bobby Jo Dennis of Stockbridge, GA and Frank Dennis of Homestead, FL; three sisters, Maurice Gibbons of New Zion, Diane (Cabbage) Williamson of Kingstree, and Cindy (Tommy) McGee of Ridgeway, SC; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Deborah McKnight Dennis; six brothers, W. C. Dennis, Earl Dennis, Leroy Dennis, Tony Dennis, Lavon Dennis, and Roger Dennis; five sisters, Doris Faye Dennis, Ollie May Morris, Tootsie Ardis, Barbara Hodge, and Carolyn Robinson; and one brother-in-law, Glenn Gibbons. A memorial service will be held 2pm on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Dennis officiating.
