Winnie Mae Turner Lake City- Winnie Mae McKenzie Turner, age 78, passed away December 25, 2013 at her residence after an illness. A service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Lake City Memorial Park, directed by Floyd Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm just prior to the service at the church. Born in Clarendon County she was a daughter of the late Clinton McKenzie and Hattie Beard McKenzie. Winnie Mae was a retired Florence County Disabilities and Special Needs employee, a member of Barrineau PH Church, Adult Sunday School Class and helped with Meals on Wheels at Lake City Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Turner; a daughter, Peggy C. Williamson; a step-son, Lee Turner; three brothers, Randolph McKenzie, Delos McKenzie, Calvin McKenzie. She is survived by two daughters, Debby Cox of Lake City, Sharon Matthews (Richard) of Coward; a step-daughter, Stella Notoro of Pawleys Island; a step-son, Brad Turner (Leisa) of Litchfield Beach; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
